Spirit Food Christian Center operates a number of Helps Ministry departments where church members can serve. If you are a church member interested in becoming a Helps Ministry Worker, please ensure that you complete the Helps Ministry Orientation class. Classes are held each month; consult the church calendar for the next class.
Music Ministry
The purpose of the Music Ministry is to exhort, uplift, and encourage the body of Christ through song and worship. The Music Ministry encompasses the Praise Team (Manna and Musicians) All Members of the Music Ministry must be faithful members of Spirit Food Christian Center Ministries. They must strive to live according to God’s will and purpose and be on one accord in mind and heart according to the word of God.

Audio Department
The Audio Department strives to produce the best possible atmosphere for worship through sound reinforcement. This includes, but is not limited to, creating the best music mix possible, creating an audio mix that meets the mood the Pastor wants to convey, and supporting the audio needs of the people involved with the church service. Ultimately, glorify God through providing excellent audio services.
Media Department
The Media Department aims to assist the ministry achieve its spirit of purpose to feed the spirit of those who hunger and thirst after righteousness. The Media Department is responsible for the design and maintenance of the church website, the production of the weekly live video stream, and for the development of branding and other collateral which might help the ministry deliver on its mission.
Multimedia/Projection Department
The Multimedia/Projection department manages the technical aspects of displaying song lyrics during worship service, and displaying scriptures and other visuals as needed during the sermon. The department works closely with the Audio department to ensure a professional presentation.
Counseling
The Counseling Department is responsible for ministering counseling information on subjects including salvation, assurance of salvation, The Holy Spirit, healing, and water baptism.
Personal Ministires Counseling Classes
The department’s objective is to give instructions on how to biblically minister Salvation, the Assurance of Salvation, and the Holy Spirit (with the evidence of speaking in other tongues) to others. Participation in the department’s classes are ideal for members who are are also interested in becoming Adult or Youth Counselors, or Street Witnessing (at Spirit Food Christian Center).
Street Witnessing
The Street Witnessing Ministry answers the call to, “Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature”. (Mark 16:15) The Street Witnessing Ministry goes out into local communities to share the love of Jesus and His salvation plan for those who would believe on Him. The Holy Spirit empowers and leads us to “preach the gospel to the poor, heal the brokenhearted, preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised.” (Luke 4:39)
Usher Minisrty
The ministry’s purpose is to assist the pastor and pastoral staff, to meet, greet and assist visitors and members, and to maintain order and reverence and to lead by example. Ushering is a wonderful opportunity to minister to members and visitors by way of our attitude. A smile and a gracious greeting is a very warm welcome to church and by giving everyone a heartfelt welcome, we help set the tone of the congregation. Ushering is also a great way to get to know your church family through assisting and serving them on a regular basis.
Memorials Ministry
The Memorials Ministry Department assists the Pastor or other Minister officiating funeral or memorial services. The department works closely with other helps ministry departments to ensure that all operational requirements during the service are met. They department also works with a family representative to help obtain and prepare the required items which might be needed during the service. The department also includes a bereavement committee which assists with work needed to setup before the service and clean up after the service.
Body Ministry
The Body Ministry is the body of Christ helping the body of Christ through products and services. Remember, it is more blessed to give than to receive.
