“…Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers; That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come; And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.”
Ephesians1:16-23
What a great prayer Paul prayed by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, not just for the church in Ephesus, but for all who would receive Jesus. In this prayer, the Holy Spirit gives us insight into just how powerful we are in Christ. The very power that resurrected Jesus from the dead, lives in us. The Glory of God is in us! Just as Jesus said in Luke 17:21: “Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for behold, the kingdom of God is within you.”
Isn’t it wonderful to know that the very kingdom of God is within us? All we have to do is exercise our authority in Christ and harness that power within.
Ephesians 3:20-21 says: “Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.”
Too many believers pray to God, hoping for a miracle, without actively receiving what God has already done for them. The Lord has already given us salvation (healing, provision, forgiveness) when Jesus died on the cross over 2,000 years ago. What we have to do is actively receive what He has already done for us. We must partner with Him and take it with our faith! Take the authority He has given us as a child of God, over all the attacks of the enemy. When sickness or lack or any other hardship comes our way, we stand in faith on God’s promises and speak to that mountain! Too many people are asking Jesus to remove the mountain they face. Yet, Jesus tells us to remove it, by speaking to it in faith. When we pray, we believe we receive. We tell the mountain to move. We declare what God says about our situation in His covenant promises and put His Word to work on it. Then the power of God that dwells within us, is released through our Words, and all Heaven and earth begin to move in response.
As we take time to celebrate Jesus’s resurrection, remind yourself that Christ dwells in your heart. Meditate on the fact that the kingdom of God is already in you. Tap into it through your words spoken in faith. What needs resurrected in your life? Is it your finances, your marriage, your relationship with your children? Speak to it in faith and watch the resurrection power that is already within you work! Then you will see that God surely will do exceedingly, abundantly above all that you can ask or think!
