This week, Youth Pastor Kel Mitchell of Spirit Food Christian Center teaches a message titled “Optimistic.” It is written in Romans 12:2, that we are not to be conformed to this world, but we are to be transformed by the renewing of our mind. There are times in life when circumstances can be incredibly challenging, and that can have an impact on our state of mind. Pastor Kel teaches us that in difficult times, the power to change starts with us. God will not automatically remove us from these situations, rather he has given us the tools to remove ourselves through His word. Through faith in His word and by always looking up, we have the power to renew our minds. This renewal of our minds allows us to transform both ourselves and our circumstances.
