“And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen”
Mark 16:20
When we speak God’s word in faith, it will produce results. Isaiah 55:11 says: “So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.”
Notice in the above scripture, God does not say that His Word “might” prosper and accomplish His will. Instead, He says: “It SHALL”. That is a definitive statement. It shall, no doubt about it, it absolutely will get results! God’s word is powerful. The same word that created the Universe and every living thing, is the same word we can use today. It has the same creative power today as it did then. When we are facing situations that are not blessings to our lives, we must use the Word of God to change it. If we are facing lack or sickness or anything else that is not a part of the blessing, then we need to speak God’s word and release that creative power to change the circumstance. If we continue to stand in faith, God’s word will prosper in that situation and change the circumstance. We will get results!
Job 22:28 says: “Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.” Again, notice the Lord does not say “might or maybe”. There is nothing ambiguous about it. He specifically uses the word “Shall”. What you say, what you decree about your life SHALL be established. When you decree God’s Word, it is being established in your life.
One dictionary defines “establish” as follows:
- to institute (something such as a law) permanently by enactment or agreement.
- to make firm or stable
- to introduce and cause to grow and multiply
- to bring into existence: FOUND
- to put on a firm basis
- to put into a favorable position
- to gain full recognition or acceptance of
- to put beyond doubt: PROVE
Think about that! When you decree, or say something from your heart, you can bring that very thing into existence. It will grow and multiply. This can bring and establish the blessing in your life, when you decree God’s word. However, if you are decreeing negative things, and using your words to agree with the problem, instead of the blessing, then you are establishing that in your life. Whatever you continue to decree is what you are establishing.
Instead of complaining, and speaking about the problem, change your words and speak God’s promise! Have faith that God means what he says. Have faith that the word of God will not fail you. It will work! Begin noticing the words you use each day. Are you speaking and decreeing negative things about your life, or are you speaking God’s words? When you change your words and stay consistent with what you say, you will get results that last. Take some time to notice what you are saying. Put a guard over your mouth and determine to only say what God says, and you will get the God kind of results!
Proverbs 4:20-22 says: “My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.”
