A Wise Son Makes a Glad Father

This week, Pastor Garry D. Zeigler of Spirit Food Christian in Winnetka teaches a special Father’s Day message titled “A Wise Son Makes a Glad Father”. The foundational scripture for this message is Proverbs 15:20. If we walk in God’s word and if we allow God’s word to be our sanctuary and if we allow God to be our God, then we will be blessed abundantly. Pastor Zeigler then gives a detailed teaching from Luke 15 and the parable of the Lost Son. We learn how the young son left his father’s house and squandered all the wealth that he had taken with him. We learn about the hardships he suffered, and how that led him to an understanding of the abundance in his father’s house. When the young son returned to his father’s house, we saw how the father treated him with compassion, and was overjoyed that he had returned of his own free will. He was lost, but now he was found. Regardless of the status of our natural father, we learn that there is always sanctuary and abundance in our Father God’s house.
