“And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.”
Mark 11: 22-23
The above scripture teaches us how we are to walk in the God kind of faith. We are created in God’s image and therefore are expected to operate the way our father does. If you have ever heard someone with an accent, you can often tell where they are from by their conversation. For instance, someone born and raised in Australia often has an Australian accent and uses words that are unique to their region. If you hear someone with a Chinese accent and speaking Chinese, it is not unreasonable to assume that they might be from China. Often people look and sound like their country of origin.
Similarly, children will often look like their parents in some way. They may have their father’s nose or mother’s smile. The same is true with the kingdom of God. When we receive Jesus as our Lord and savior we are born again and become God’s very own children. As we grow in our knowledge of the word and faith, we are supposed to look and sound increasingly more like our heavenly Father. We should sound like the kingdom and country that we are from. Our country and kingdom is the Kingdom of God.
As a result, our conversation should sound different than the world’s way of conversing. We don’t operate the way others operate. We operate in the God kind of faith. Therefore, we don’t talk about the mountains in our life. Instead, we speak to the mountain by faith and command it removed.
John 4:24 tells us: “God is Spirit: and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth.”
To worship God in spirit and in truth means that there is a truth greater than what we see. The world may look one way; full of fear, lack, loss and challenges. Yet, Jesus commands us to pray “Thy kingdom come they will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” (See Luke 11). He wants us to have heaven on earth. There is no lack in heaven. There is no fear in heaven. There is no sickness in heaven. Therefore, we need to use our faith to take from the unseen world which is spirit and to bring it into the seen world.
Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.” Hebrews 11:3-4
“While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not see: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal. 2 Corinthians 4:18
When we understand how the God kind of faith works, we can then come into agreement with the word of God about our lives and put the word to work. By speaking God’s Word in faith over our circumstances, we can change them. Then, those things that are undesirable in our lives such as lack, sickness or anything else that does not line up with heaven on earth, can now be removed and replaced with the image of God and His promises for our lives.
Let us then operate in faith the way our Father does. Instead of speaking what you see, speak God’s word. Decree His promises about the situation and act and look like your heavenly Father. You are from a different kingdom, the kingdom of God. You need to act and sound like it! Use your kingdom words and get results! Put God’s word to work in your life and watch the mountains move!
