Not long ago I was on an airplane. The Lord spoke to my heart and had me consider how different that airline would be if it had a Faith Filled Christian as the CEO. What kind of movies and in flight programming might they show? What kind of experience might they provide if they directed their employees to love their neighbor as themselves? How would they treat their employees? Would the employees be better off working for someone who had no care for God, or someone who is accountable to God and knows it?
Think of some of the top internet search sites or the entertainment industry. How different would it be if Christians were the ones employing people and providing the services? Proverbs 29:2 says: “When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.” Yet, why are there so many Christians that don’t want to allow God to prosper them as He would like? If God puts the wealth in the hands of His faithful children, how different would the industries be! Far too long Christians have thought it to be a noble cause to just get by, not wanting to ask God for too much, just be comfortable, while the ungodly are prospering. The ungodly seem to have no problem handling the idea of having lots of money and power. You see, we are at a time when the Lord wants to take the wealth of the wicked that has been stored up for the saints and begin transferring it to those who will be good stewards of the money and resources. Yet, we have to believe it is His will to prosper us. We have to receive what He wants to do for us.
Most good parents, Christian or not, will do their best to provide for their children. They will save up money for their future, for their college, so that their children don’t have to go through the toil and labor that they had to in order to be successful in life. They want their children to live better than they lived. They want their children to be in health and prosper. They want to make sure their children are kept safe. They want the best for their children. Yet, when it comes to believing God for divine health, prosperity and other things they need in their own lives, many Christians actually think it might not be God’s will for them. Or, they may intellectually agree it’s God’s will, but have a hard time believing it with their hearts. Yet Jesus, speaking to those who were not yet even born again, said in Mathew 7:11: “If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask Him?” They don’t realize it, but by doing this, they are actually thinking themselves to be better parents than God. Think about it. IF they want more for their children than they think God wants for His children, then they are basically saying they are better parents than He is.
Yet, the scriptures show us just the opposite. When Jesus walked the earth, He “…went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with Him.” Acts 10:38 There were times He actually healed entire cities as Mathew 9:25 records: “And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, AND HEALING EVERY SICKNESS AND EVERY DISEASE AMONG THE PEOPLE.” In Mathew 12:15 it says: “But when Jesus knew it, he withdrew Himself from thence: and great multitudes followed Him and HE HEALED THEM ALL.” There is not one account of someone coming to Jesus and asking for healing and not being healed. Jesus said in John 14:9 “…he that hath seen me hath seen the Father…” . Jesus also said in John 6:38: “ For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.” What was that will? It is stated in Luke 4:18-19: “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.”
When John the Baptist asked Jesus if He was the one to come or if they should expect another, Jesus responded by saying in Matthew 11:4-5: “Go and shew John again those things which ye do hear and see: The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear; the dead are raised up and the poor have the gospel preached to them. And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me.”
Therefore, since Jesus only did the Will of the Father and HE said if you have seen me, you have seen the Father for He and the Father are one, then we can conclude it is God’s will to heal!!
Not only that, but Jesus never lacked for anything when it came to money. His disciples never lacked either. In fact, when it was time to pay the taxes, they didn’t have to pay a dime. He just told Peter to go fishing and the first fish he caught had the money to cover both their payments. When it was time to feed the multitude, the disciples said it would take a year’s wages to feed them all. Yet, in a few minutes, by the blessing of God, they fed the multitude and had twelve baskets left over.
God is our provider! It says so in his name “Jehovah Jireh”. God is more than enough “El Shaddai”. God is our healer “Jehova Rapha” God is our victory or banner over us “Jehova Nissi”. God provides the provision, the healing, the protection, the peace; every thing we need for life and Godliness is in Him. You see, when you are prospering and in good health, living a Godly life, walking in love and faith, then this brings glory to God. People see God’s covenant working in your life! It shows that God is upright, and there is no unrighteousness in Him, as Psalm 92:14-15 says: “They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing; To shew that the LORD is upright: he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him.”
In these last days, as the time for Jesus‘s return gets ever closer, God needs the money in the hands of His people, so that we can get the gospel to the ends of the earth. He needs the righteous in places of power and authority so the gospel can go out freely. The only way the enemy can keep that from happening is if he keeps God’s children in a poverty mindset. He uses derogatory slogans to try to mislabel the good news of the gospel. He thinks he can fool people into buying a catchy phrase line in order to keep them from receiving what God says is rightfully theirs! Just as you want the best for your children, GOD WANTS THE BEST FOR HIS CHILDREN. HE LOVES US! John by the Holy Spirit said in 3 John 1:2: “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prosperseth.”
Do not listen to labels that people put on the Word simply because they don’t understand it. Instead, just believe what the scriptures say. Believe that God is your good and perfect parent and that He wants the best for you! No matter how much you love your children, GOD LOVES YOU MORE!
Mathew 15:30
“And great multitudes came unto him, having with them those that were lame, blind, dumb, maimed, and many others, and cast them down at Jesus’ feet: and he healed them: Insomuch that the multitude wondered, when THEY SAW the dumb to speak, the maimed to be whole, the lame to walk, and the blind to see: AND THEY GLORIFIED THE GOD OF ISRAEL.”
Luke 6:19
“And the whole multitude sought to touch him: for there went virtue out of him, and he healed them all.”
2 Corinthians 1:20
“For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.”
2 Peter 1:2-3
“Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord. According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him, that hath called us to glory and virtue:”
Proverbs 10:22
“The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.”
Proverbs 3:16-18
“Length of days is in her [wisdom’s] right hand; and in her left hand riches and honour: Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace. She is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her: and happy is every one that retaineth her.”
Isaiah 62:12
“And they shall call them, The holy people, The redeemed of the LORD: and thou shalt be called, Sought out, A city not forsaken.”
