Mark 5 states, “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”
I had an outfit on the other day that one of my co-workers really enjoyed. She said, “ I love your outfit, where did you get it from?” I replied with gratitude and told her where. Another person, the same day, remarked on my outfit as well, and I told her the same. She followed up and told me she was going to go to that store because she has heard so many wonderful things about it.
How often have you had that experience? Whether it’s an outfit, a plumber, mechanic, or restaurant; we often refer people to others, places, or things because we’ve had a pleasant experience.
My confession is that I am blessed coming in and going out, above and not beneath, and you can see the manifestation in my life. If I can tell someone where I purchased my outfit, shouldn’t I be able to tell them who blessed me? God has not blessed me with many gifts just for my own enjoyment, but He blessed me so that He could get the glory. God needs us to be His light on Earth. If people are not aware of God’s benefits why would they want to choose Him?
Our ultimate goal as believers should be to bring the lost to the Light. Whatever we do, we are to do it unto to God, and give Him all the glory. Through our victory they will see God.
The next time someone praises you and inquires about your blessings, refer them to God so they can get the “hook up” too.
