“And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil. But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us. But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel. Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me. But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children’s bread, and to cast it to dogs. And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters’ table. Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour. And Jesus departed from thence, and came nigh unto the sea of Galilee; and went up into a mountain, and sat down there.
30 And great multitudes came unto him, having with them those that were lame, blind, dumb, maimed, and many others, and cast them down at Jesus’ feet; and he healed them:” Mathew 15:22-30
When Jesus spoke to the woman in the above account, he described healing as the children’s bread. When we receive Jesus as our Lord and Savior, we are called the children of God. Healing is for us. We are not supposed to be coming to God begging for a crumb of bread (Just a crumb of healing). We are to sit at the Father’s table as His children and eat of the bread of healing. When Jesus taught the Lord’s Prayer, he said we are to pray “…give us this day our daily bread”. Every day, we are to walk in divine healing. This is part of our daily bread promised to us in the Word.
Exodus 23:25 says: “And ye shall serve the Lord your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee.”
In Galatians 3:13-14 says: “Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.”
The night before Jesus went to the cross He handed the bread to the disciples saying in Luke 22:19-20 “And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me. Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you.”
Isaiah 53:4-5 says : “Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.”
Mathew 8:15-17: “And he touched her hand, and the fever left her: and she arose, and ministered unto them. When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick: That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.”
In each of these scriptures we see how the healing and the prophecy go hand in hand. He took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses in His body, which is represented by the bread when He did the first communion. Healing is part of our salvation package! It’s the children’s bread. God’s will is for us to walk in divine healing all the time. Once we get that revelation deep inside our hearts, then sickness has no choice but to leave. What is amazing to think is that Jesus was healing people before they were even born again. Now that we are born again and have the glory of God dwelling inside of us, how much more should we be walking in total healing! For the very life of God lives on the inside of us. John 7:38 says: “He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of LIVING WATER.”
We have been healed already. The Greater One lives on the inside of us! Too many times Christians pray and ask God to do something He has already done. They ask Him to heal them. Yet that was a part of our salvation package. When you purchase a car, the Key comes with the car. You don’t purchase it separately. When we received salvation, part of the package was the healing. Now all we have to do is put the key in the ignition and start the car. If you went to the sales man of the car, who already gave you the key, and you kept asking him “Please give me the key” He would look at you like you were crazy because he already gave you the key. It’s your responsibility now to use that key to get the car to run.
The same is with healing. God has already done everything necessary for us to walk in divine health. Now all we have to do is put that key (the promises of God) in the ignition (our hearts filled with faith) and start the car (speak out those promises in faith and receive our healing).
How do we do that you may ask? By taking God’s promises concerning healing and confessing them over your body. You bind the sickness and command it to leave. You take authority over the enemy and remind him of the covenant you have with God. You decree you are healed by Jesus stripes. Psalm 107:20 says: “He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.” Speak those words in faith and command your body to line up with the word of God. Expect God’s word to work on and in your body. If you don’t see results right away do not worry. Isaiah 55:10-11 says:”For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.” God’s word will not fail, it is prospering in your body. It’s accomplishing healing!
But remember, Jesus said when you pray, forgive. And in the Lord’s prayer He says forgive us our debts (sins) as we forgive others. Forgiveness is the key to our receiving. If we are walking in un-forgiveness it creates mal-function in the body. Just as if you took your beautiful brand new car and instead of putting gas in it, you put corn oil in the gas tank. You would start noticing problems with the car right away. Walking in love is integral to our well being and receiving God’s blessings fully. Just like a water hose, you can turn on the water and the water is flowing, but if there is a kink in the hose, the water will not flow as it should. God’s blessings are always being poured out on us, but if we have a kink in the line (un-forgiveness) then you only get a trickle. Unkink that line by forgiving and walking in love and watch the power of God operate fully in your life for GOD IS LOVE!
Mathew 6:8-13
“Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him. After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.”
Proverbs 4:20-23
“My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.”
John 6:63
“ It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.”
John 6:35
“ And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.”
Mathew 4:4
“But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.”
Mark 11:22-25
“And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.”
