“Bless the LORD, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word.”
Psalm 103:20
Hebrews 1:14, in referring to angels says, “Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?” If you are a believer in Christ Jesus then you are an heir of salvation! God’s angels are sent to minister to you! In Psalm 34:7 it says: “The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.” Psalm 91:1 &11-12 says: “He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty…For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.”
We can either empower our angels or hinder them. What comes out of your mouth determines if you are giving your angels something to work with or not. God’s word says they harken unto the VOICE of HIS WORD. Therefore, when you speak God’s Word, you are dispatching your angels. You see,the battles we fight are fought first in the heavenlies. Ephesians 6:12 says: “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” It then goes on to list our armour: The Helmut of Salvation, Breastplate of Righteousness, Belt of Truth, Feet with the Gospel of Peace, the Shield of Faith and the Sword of the Spirit which is, THE WORD OF GOD.
Therefore when we stand fast on our confession of faith, speaking the WORD ONLY, then the angels are dispatched and have something to harken unto. They can then do their job effectively. However, we do have an enemy, a fallen angel and his demons. He also hearkens unto the voice of God’s word, because as an angel, that is what he was made to do. However, instead of coming to perform it, he comes to try to put a stop to it. He comes to try to steal the word sown and get you to cast away your confidence. That’s why he will put up all kinds of thoughts, circumstances, feelings, fears, anything he can, to discourage us from believing what God has promised. That is why Jesus said in Mark 4:14-17: “The sower soeth the word. And these are they by the way side, where the word is sown; but when they have heard, Satan cometh immediately, and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts. And these are they likewise which are sown on stony ground; who, when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with gladness; And have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward, WHEN AFLLICTION OR PERSECUTION ARISETH FOR THE WORD’S SAKE, immediately they are offended.” When the word goes forth, the enemy also goes forth to try to stop it. But Praise God we are not ignorant of his devices! As we cast those thoughts down, and continue to speak God’s word over our situation, not casting away our confidence, but instead walking by faith and not by sight; then with Faith and Patience we will inherit the promises of God and we will be fruitful! We don’t allow circumstances or anything else to stop us from believing and confessing God’s Word over our situation. We choose not to be offended or discouraged no matter how we feel. For if we hold fast to our confession of faith, then even our thoughts and emotions will eventually line up with the word of God.
So let’s give our Angels something to work with and speak the word only! That is why Jesus says in John 14:10 “…the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.” When we say God’s word about a situation, then we will get God’s results. When we speak the circumstances, then we are speaking not out of faith but out of fear and we get the results of that. We can either operate in the kingdom of light or the kingdom of darkness. Your words mixed with faith, help choose which results you will get.
Mark 11:22-26
“And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. For verily I say unto you. That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.”
Proverbs 18:21
“Death and life are in the power of the tongue; and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.”
James 3:10-13
“Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so be. Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter? Can the fig tree, my brethren, bear olive berries? either a vine, figs? so can no fountain both yield salt water and fresh. Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.”
Proverbs 12:14
“A man shall be satisfied with good by the fruit of his mouth…”
Colossians 4:6
“Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.”
Matthew 8:5-10
“And when Jesus was entered into Capernaum, there came unto him a centurion, beseeching him, And saying, Lord, my servant lieth at home sick of the palsy, grievously tormented. And Jesus saith unto him, I will come and heal him. The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed. For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say to this man, Go, and he goeth; and to another Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it. When Jesus heard it, he marveled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.”
John 6:63
“It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.”
Psalm 107:20
“He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.”
Isaiah 55:10-11
“For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth; it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.”
Hebrews 10:23
“Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)
Hebrews 10:35

Psalm 50:23
“Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me: and to him that ordereth his conversation aright will I shew the salvation of God.”
