Today I am Reading Ecclesiastes Chapter 3. The key word in the book of Ecclesiastes is vanity, the futile emptiness of trying to be happy apart from God. The book of Ecclesiastes convincingly portrays the emptiness and perplexity of life without a relationship with God. In Chapter 3 of Ecclesiastes there are three key messages, 1) God Predetermines the Events of Life, 2) God Predetermines the Conditions of Life, 3) God Judges All. All three tell you God is in control of our life, if we allow him into our heart.
God has a plan for ALL his people. What is the purpose of Life? It should be to fear the all-powerful God. To fear God means to respect and stand in awe of Him because of who He is. Purpose in life starts with whom we know, not what we know or how good we are.
Ecclesiastes 3:1 (NLT) For everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven. What is your purpose? Listen to His voice, He will tell you. In Jeremiah 29:11 NLT, For I know the plans I have for you,” says the LORD. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.
