Have you ever looked at your bible and thought, “Well I don’t have the first clue how to read that thing.” or “I just don’t understand the way they talked back then!” or even “I like the way Pastor explains the Word so I’ll just wait until Bible study on Tuesday or church on Sunday.” ??
Well let me tell you, that is the complete wrong attitude toward the holy written Word of God!!! It is the anointing that breaks every yoke, and the haze that comes over you when you attempt to open the good book and take time to edify yourself is a spiritual yoke! God gives us revelation but also meets us at the level of our faith.
Think of the scripture as a mansion with many, many doors with treasures of knowledge and wisdom and all grace behind them. When you are truly ready to know what is behind one of them, it will be unlocked to you!
Let’s take a look at the book of (Ezekiel 2:8) where it says: “…open your mouth and eat what I give you.” and dropping down to (Ezekiel 3:1) you’ll find the instructions: “…eat what you find…”
I’ve found that the responsibility does not lie solely on God! He has given us his promises, prophesied over us in glorious faith, and inspired a collective of those promises for us to freely examine and FIND. God wants us to EXPLORE His word by the Holy Spirit that we may know the blessing of the Lord which adds no sorrow (Proverbs 10:22).
So invite the Holy Ghost in! Ask Him to lead you to the scriptures that directly relate to what you may be believing for. No matter what direction He leads you, FOLLOW. It is the will of God for believers to know His plans for them! Don’t be intimidated by the Bible!!! The Spirit will ALWAYS lift you up when it comes to accomplishing the will of God. (Ezekiel 2:2; 3:12; 3:14; 3:24; 11:1; 11:24)
