“People miss the supernatural looking for the spectacular.”
Kenneth Copeland (BVOV)
“Except ye see signs and wonders, you will not believe.” (John 4:48)
Am I looking for signs and wonders? Sure. I’d like a dramatic display regarding my work and my back.
However, recent prayer reminded me that I can miss God’s daily presence while waiting for my “big” healing.
For example, my Honda rides low and scraped the curb enough to pop the bumper. So I lined up at 6:00 a.m. at Honda Repair, which told me I needed Body Repair, which opened at 8:00 a.m.
Just another day in the natural, I think, as I pull over to redeem the hour and read:
“Blessed shall you be in the city, and blessed shall you be in the field. Blessed shall you be when you come in, and blessed shall you be when you go out.” (Deut. 28:3,6)
Finally, I drove into Honda Repair, where the manager told me, “This happens. Don’t worry, we got you.”
Then a mechanic held up a screw, a washer, and a screwdriver, and re-fastened the bumper in under a minute. Is he the Honda
guy or an angel?
I pulled out my credit card to pay, but the manager waved me off and said, “Go home. No charge.”
Then and there, the supernatural turned spectacular, and I wasn’t even looking.
