This week, Pastor Garry D. Zeigler of Spirit Food Christian in Winnetka teaches a message titled “The Maturing Christian”. We know from the scriptures that the Bible wants us to grow spiritually through receiving the written word of God. In Ephesians chapter 1 we see one of Paul’s prayers that communicates the ways he wishes the body of Christ to grow. This is a prayer that we can also pray ourselves. We are joint heirs with Jesus and it’s vital that we know about this inheritance. We must receive this inheritance by faith, and Pastor Zeigler teaches us about the necessity of hope. We cannot have faith without hope since the Bible tells us that faith is the substance of things hoped for.
