This week, Pastor Garry D. Zeigler of Spirit Food Christian teaches a message titled “The Value of Faith”. It is written in the Bible that faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. This makes it clear that faith and hope are not the same things. It is also written that faith is “now”, meaning that it’s present tense. Faith is operating in the current moment, not at some point in the past or the future. We could also say that it is faith that gives substance to the things that we hope for. When we define what hope is, we could say that it’s a confident expectation of a better future.
